I am thinking of you dear Melanie! Wishing the best to you and to all the people of NY. The hurricane Irene looks scary!

Thanks Sonia. We are fine!!!Lots of rain..some flooding on the coastal areas..just woke up–lights are on and now I am having a capuccino. I have lots of food on hand. Will assess more later. Hugs to you too. I think NYC was very able and organized to handle a natural disaster. The trains will be up and running on Tuesday.

@VH Mckenzie–we made it through!! I too was having island thoughts of the hurricane I lived through where the tall plam trees bent completely over and touched the ground. The dolphins were swimming happily in the sea. Glad all is well.
